Christmas Ornament Re-Do

It's my week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog and I picked Christmas ornaments for today's fabulous Friday post. Here is my ornament--

I was wandering around the Internet and found this post. I tweaked her idea a bit and made it my own. I used the stamp set called Seasonal Chums. You can purchase the ornaments here and I bought the the "snow" at the Dollar store-- I think those little styrofoam balls are used to fill bean bag chairs.

Love to Color?

Do you? 'Cause if you do, you will love the new trend at Stampin' Up! Lots of ways to color stamped images and nice bold lined stamps to color. Here is my card for today's Sisters in Stamping post--

Used the Stampin' Blend markers to color my poinsettia, Flirty Flamingo and Shaded Spruce. There is a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter thrown in there and the new Embossing Folder called Subtle.

Quick and Easy Christmas

Hello Stampers! Super quick card this week for the

Sisters in Stamping Christmas card post. 

Here is my card--

I used the set called Wishing You Well from the Holiday Mini Catalog (pg.35). This card is made with the same set, it was the first set I purchased from the Mini. Other products used are Buffalo Check background (pg.38), the Red Rhinestone Jewels (pg.19) and the Duet Banner punch from the 2018-19 Idea Book & Catalog (pg.211).

With Sympathy

I used the set Better Together, it's a wonderful set... one of my favorites!! There is a greeting, an image and something to stamp in the inside. The set covers Christmas, Birthday, Sympathy, Baby & Wedding.

Blast from the Past

Breaking out my very first stamp set I purchased today in honor of Stampin' Up!s 30th Anniversary! Here is my card for today--

This is some real vintage rubber here folks!! This stamp set is called Little by Little and it debuted in 1994. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it!

Christmas Ribbons

Hello! Our challenge this week at the Sisters in Stamping blog is ribbon, here is my card--

 I was cruising around Pinterest last week and spotted this pin. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to use ribbon on cards and I thought this was very clever!

Unlike the ribbon that was used in the pin the Striped Burlap Ribbon (#147889, pg. 13 Holiday Mini Catalog) that I've used on this card needed more than adhesive to stay pleated, hence the gold brad. I pierced a hole through the bow I made with the framelit all the way through the ribbon layers and opened the brad on the back, worked like a charm!

CASE'ing the Holiday Mini

Our duties this week at the Sisters in Stamping blog are to CASE a card from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Here is my card--

I used the So Santa stamp set and markers to color in my Santa. I really like everything about this set, the little Santa's are so cute and I love the font SU! used with the wording. The card I CASE'd is on page 23 of the Mini, top right hand corner. I did make some changes...I made it into a full card and I used another Santa from the set.

Hopefully we will see you next week, we're going to be doing Shaker Cards.

Embellishments

Well hey there! The Sisters in Stamping are talking about their favorite embellishments this week. Here is my project--

I would have to say that my very favorite embellishment is ribbon. Not just any old way to use ribbon, but I'm always looking for new, unique and clever ways to use ribbon! You have got to go over to the Sisters blog and check out what the other girls are showing.

Friendship Day at the Sisters in Stamping blog, here is my project for today--

I found these retro soda bottle wax candy here, fun & colorful! I paired it with the stamp set called Bubble Over, #145868 $17.00 The wax bottles are attached to a piece of cardstock and placed in a clear envelope. Also, I used white Classic Weave Ribbon, #144159, $7.00 which is 

new to the catalog this year. 

Do you remember wax candy growing up? I do! Everything old is new again... I guess 

we all need to return to our childhood!

Here is my card for this week--

The picture of this card just does not do it justice, the colors just pop off it in real life. The sunflower is a 3 step stamp from a stamp set called Painted Harvest. I used Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove and Gray Granite... an unlikely color combination-- but it turned out really nice!

Silver Accents

Happy Friday from the Sisters in Stamping blog! This week's challenge is to use silver or gold accents on a card or project, here is my card--

My card uses 2 of the new colors added last month with the 2018-19 Idea Book & Catalog, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather. I added 3 silver accents, foil sheets (#132178, $4.00), faceted gems (#144142, $5.00) and rhinestones (#144220, $5.00).

Playing with my NEW Stuff

Well, hey! Good to see you back this week for the Fabulous Friday post. I used some of my new SU! products to make this week's card--

 It's a Z-Fold easel card in one of the new 2018-2020 InColors called Blueberry Bushel. The 1/8" grosgrain ribbon and Designer Series Paper (a 6x6 pack) match the 5 colors. Really lovin' this set of colors, so bright & fun!!

Here is a picture of it opened, the card sits up on a desk really nice! Stamp set is called Accented Blooms.

Last Chance!!

Really sad to see this stamp set retire!!

I used a bunch of retiring things to make this card, Butterfly Basics, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder card stock & ink pads, Emerald Envy ink pad and the Butterflies Thinlets. I kinda copied the layout for this card from page 149 of the 2017-18 IB&C changing up the colors to make it more Spring-y.

Cup Cake Belated Birthday

Designer Paper this week at Sisters in Stamping I used a retiring pack of

 paper (boohoo! 😭 ) Here is my project--

I used the color combo of Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Powder Pink. The Designer Series Paper is part of the InColor Fresh Florals pack. Oh, I almost forgot the little InColor bows....really sad 😢 to see those go, they are just too cute.

Flower Sale-a-Bration Power

It's Debbie's pick this week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog, and she has picked Flowers as our theme. Here is my project--

I used a stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called Southern Serenade, item #145918. The base of my card is one of the cards from the Tutti-Frutti cards & envelopes Sale-a-Bration items you can get free for purchasing $50 of merchandise. The set contains 16 card bases with 16 matching envelopes in some really fun and bright colors-- Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party.

Bubble Over Bundle

Our assignment for the Sisters in Stamping blog this week is to pick a Bundle from the newly released Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. Here is my project--

If you purchase the Bundle (pg. 32, #146082) you get a 10% discount. I used the SAB Designer Series Paper, Bubbles & Fizz (#147244) that matches the stamp set.
