Holiday Mini Sneak Peek

The Sisters (http://Sistersinstamping.blogspot.com) a giving a small Sneak Peek this week at the NEW Holiday Mini catalog...I say small because there are SO MANY wonderful stamp sets in it the Peek has to be small, there is just no way we could feature all of them. But, not to fear we will be featuring quite a few sets in the next couple of weeks so make sure you stop back by. Here is my card for this week--

It seems too early to be making Fall themed cards doesn't it?? This stamp set is called Gently Falling and it's comprised of 2 sets of images, the outside of the leaf and the inside, I only used the outside of the leaf to make this card. It is quite lovely...there is a Maple leaf and a little whirligig to go with it, an Oak leaf with an acorn, a Ash leaf and a Elm leaf (these last two I'm not sure about, I was never good at that kinda thing). I used 2 techniques to make this card Paper Piecing (on the little acorn) and Burnishing. Also, I used the new quilted ribbon from the Holiday Mini-- I love it, I hope it gets carried through to the next catalog!

Happy Stamping!

Back to School Friday

This Back to School post for Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday today (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com) is very appropriate for South Dakota. My son went back to school yesterday (WHOOPEE!!). Here is my project for today--

We did this project at a Birthday Party on Tuesday (Happy 8th Birthday Hannah!) Original idea came from my good friend and downline Jen Sannes (http://www.SimpleandSincere.com). Here is a picture of the "Little Man" sitting pretty much where he sat most of the Summer-- in front of the computer!

Thankfully, he did get to the pool down the street some so he has a nice tan for his school picture today.

Make sure you come back next week, we will be giving you a little Sneak Peek of the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog-- it is a sweet catalog!

Happy Stamping!

Catalog Tour

The Sisters (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com) are in the last week of the NEW IB&C Tour. We are in the Elements section of the catalog, here is my card for this week--

I used a set called Four Frames and some new Designer Series Paper called Flirtatious. All of the Designer Series Paper is on Sale this month at Stampin' Up! (Buy 3 get one Free), this Flirtatious Paper comes with bright and cheery colors and some special die cuts that look like doilies or maybe snowflakes. I was inspired by a card done by Julie Davison (http://juliedavison.blogspot.com) I love Julie's stamping style, her blog is my first stop if I need to be inspired! Thanks Julie for a really cute layout.

Thank-you for stopping by today! See you next week for some back to school projects.
Until then, Happy Stamping!

Flowers for Fabulous Friday

Hello and welcome to this week's Fabulous Friday post! The Sisters (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com) have all picked out stamp sets from the All Natural section of the NEW 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog. Here is my card for this week--

I was inspired by a little wood box that sits on my buffet. Here is a picture of it next to my card--

I have looking around my house lately for inspiration and these little roses look like the small rose from the new set Flower Fest. I used the same set a couple of weeks ago (http://stampinwithk.blogspot.com/2011/04/sneekly-peeking.html) click here to go to that post. The cards look completely different! Go check out what the other Sisters have done this week--some very clever stuff!

See you next week! Happy Stamping, Karla c(:
